Our GE electric dryer, model number DCVH680EJ1MS, will start a cycle but on high heat with a heavy load will only run 2 minutes then will shut off completely (no display). We have had two technicians check it out and tell us it may be the main control board or the motor. The thermostatic switches apparently all test fine. The main control board has been replaced but that did not fix the problem. The dryer will reset again in a couple of minutes and can be restarted but will then again shut down. If the motor is failing, and drawing too much current, is there a cutoff switch that will shut the machine down? Would like to make sure before replacing the motor.
