Here's the problem: I'm in AR, stove is in MA. It's in my DIL's kitchen and has not worked since Thanksgiving 2018.
DIL thinks she can fix if something easy. My first thought is replace the element, which is easy and I believe she can do it.
BUT
Is that the likely problem? Broiler works, stove top works. Before she spends $130 on the part, what other things can she look at to define the issue?
