We have a very old maytag washer but has never had any issues until recently. Now the washer mostly drains and can hear/see the water draining, but the clothes are still very soaked after the cycle and we usually need run another spin cycle. Also, while checking the pump today, the pump itself was still full of water although the washer tub itself was not. Just wanted opinions...I'm leaning towards just needing a new belt since it runs the pump and spin/agitator. It is over 12 years old and the belt has never been replaced. I think it would account for draining inconsistencies and not spinning hard/fast enough to remove all water from the clothes. Opinions??
