I have an old whirlpool compactor i saved from old house that tore down. Got it home and plugged in . On start goes down but then freezes. After a while or if i turn wheel a little thwn on start will come back up. Motot is trying to reverse at boottom but then just wont. Gears and all look good can. When i put a log on bottom for it to hit appears to reverse fine but wont reverse without something in bottom. Since it just wines and stops then i can get it to go up again cant see or figure out what is not working? Advice?
