I had a similar problem. The dryer timer would not turn off at the end of any cycle except for the fluff air cycle. After replacing the timer twice, the real problem turned out to be the start switch.
A little amplifying information: Each timer replacement would work properly for about a week. Then it would keep the dryer on through all the cycles until it went through the fluff air cycle.

Everything on the dryer works fine and drys fine. There is a dying feature where you set the drying by time but it doesn't work.

I am mechanically inclined and so would like to repair this myself...so far I have assumed
it may be the control board ..(hoping not).

Any thoughts that could help?
