Hi all, I have a whirlpool gold side by side that stopped making ice. Through the help of the forum, I found the ice maker control module needed to be replaced. I ordered a new one, and replaced it. It's making ice again and all seems well.
My only concern is that the original module says 200 W-115V -60HZ. The new one was 185 W-115V - 60HZ. I've looked at other replacement pictures and I see others showing 185 W. Should I be concerned of the wattage difference, or is this just that the new part is drawing less wattage than the original? I want to make sure the new part isn't undersized in some way. Thanks!
