This sounds really basic, but did you verify that there is currently power running through the outlet? You'd be surprised at how many appliance repair calls result in very simple solutions. It's a possibility that the circuit breaker may have tripped.

We had a lightning strike on our house that led to a few electronics malfunctioning (router was one).

My washer --and LG top loader that is 4 years old--has no power. I tried to do a reset by unplugging, resetting breaker and holding down power and start buttons.

The reset worked initially but now I can't turn it on again.

I called LG but I'm hesitant to pay to have a repair person out here if they are just going to tell me its a $500 fix and need a new circuit board.

Any other ideas at all?
