I've seen a few like that. Try threading the nut down onto the drive block, just a couple of turns. Then hit the nut downward carefully while pulling up on the basket. its helpful to have extra hands pulling up if you can find some.

As a last ditch attempt, I've used a flat blade screwdriver to separate the drive block from the basket. Be careful its easy to ruin a drive block or basket top so do a little all the way around. Just insert the flat blade in next to the drive block and hammer it a little. Move over and do it again.

Good luck.

I need to remove the inner spin basket but it is really stuck. I removed the nut with a spanner wrench and then turned and pulled on the inner basket but it won't come out. Yes, I tried pushing and turning... There has to be an old appliance repairman trick to pulling the inner spin basket off/out of the GSQ9364HQ0 Whirlpool Gold Top Loading Washing Machine. (not a Cabrio)

I tried wd-40, vinegar, boiling water to loosen the whatever is holding the tub in. It doesn't want to just pop out like all the repair videos show online.

Please help, need to do the laundry...
