Update: well I tried to bypass the relay but couldn't seem to get the compressor to start. I stuck the relay back on and said hell with it. Well compressor started right up as of 6-8 minutes ago and is still running.

I woke this morning to hear my refrigerator compressor kicking on and immediately off every few minutes. I suspect the relay is bad. Problem is this refrigerator is very old. Circa 1980s. I removed the relay and it rattles and the fact it was brittle and some of the plastic covering the connectors broke. JUNK

I do not know where to find one of these now and what I should do. I can't afford a new fridge at the moment so I want to at least get this to run for a few months. Here are some images of the relay. Also, I cannot find a model # or manufacture date on anything.
