It's always recommended to clean your ice maker regularly. Just outer cleaning is not enough because inner parts are important. You can use a blower to clean the compressor and circuit board. You can check this ice maker cleaning guide for a better understanding.

I was about to order a new icemaker, when I saw this. I don't want to buy one if it doesn't solve the problem. Just like the original poster my ejector harvester arm fingers are pointed down into the ice. I've tried various resets; nothing works.

Samsung fridge RF4287HARS- ice maker- DA97-07365G

When I pulled the ice maker out there was a set of cubes made, but the ejector arms were in the ice cubes about 30% of the way and frozen solid, so there was no way the ice could release without me pulling the tray, and melting the ice.

I have tried the ice maker reset (same problem occurs). I read online that it could be a sync problem and the Ice maker needs to be replaced, so I got a replacement maker- and annoyingly the exact same problem occurred with a new ice maker unit. I have attached a picture of the blades frozen in the ice cubes, as well as a picture of the blades in the water while the ice is being frozen which seems to be a wrong "home position" or however you would refer to it as.

The picture of the blades in the water is not perfect, I couldnt get a great angle to take a picture so I ended up taking a video with my iphone and reaching into the freezer compartment to try and see where the blades were at while the ice was making- they start out facing up and to the right about 30 degress, but then after the water dumps the slowly rotate down til they are about 30 degress down and to the left (when viewing the ice maker head on looking into the fridge) which puts them right in the water that is freezing for the cubes.

Thanks for any and all help- I can be pretty handy, but this problem is eluding me.

Has ANYONE found a solution to this issue with samsung icemaker. I am having identical issue with Samsung RF4287HARS fridge. Icemaker will not eject ice and tines on ejector are impacted and frozen into the ice that is in the icemaker. Have replaced icemaker TWICE and the main control board since it controls the mold heater

So reading your post, I could have written it myself -

Ice maker stopped making ice, I reset it and it will make one tray of ice but not eject it into the ice bucket.

I purchased a new ice maker, installed it with the same exact results. It only makes ice when I press the reset button, but again, does not eject the ice.

Water pressure is fine, have reset the panel on the front, even unplugged refrigerator totally to reset.

Would appreciate any ideas on this as I have been battling this for a month.

Has your refrigerator ice maker has stopped producing or dispensing ice cubes? Most automatic ice makers on all refrigerators work using the same principles. Fixing the ice maker on your fridge is not frequently a hard task. Most of the problems can be fixed and repaired by you instead of calling a professional. There are a few obvious things you need to check first and foremost. These fix-it solutions apply to side-by-side and top and bottom new and old style refrigerators. The ice maker repair tips will work on all Kenmore, GE, LG, Samsung, Frigidaire, Whirlpool and Kitchen Aide Refrigerators and Freezers.
