Wasn't the timer unfortunately.
Nothing is triggering the drain cycle to happen. The water pump is spinning during agitation but stops and moves directly to spin. No sound from the transmission or motor between agitate and spin. I can hear relays clicking but that's all.

I think if you get the timer from here, they will let you return it if you need to. I would ask them before you do. (I just volunteer here, don't work here)

If there are plastic gears and/or cams that hit switches within the timer unit, I'm feeling fairly confident that's my issue.
It goes from the aggitate cycle, then the timer makes some crunchy grinding noises, and then it attempts to spin a tub full of water. This obviously causes the motor to overheat. That's when the Mrs noticed something was wrong, the smell of a toasty motor.

Calling on your infinite wisdom once again...
Had an issue with draining on this unit before and it was the water pump. This time seems different.
When the timer gets to the drain cycle, it makes an odd noise. Similar to plastic gears grinding or something. Not knowing what's inside of the timer unit makes it hard for me to determine. I took it off the machine but didn't see a simple way to disassemble so I left it alone. Would be pretty bummed if I broke it and the problem was elsewhere...
Is there a service manual available somewhere? It would help tremendously if I knew what wire is what, when it's supposed to have voltage, and how much voltage it's supposed to have.
