When you said it would drain. I figured your coupling was bad. A lot of the time they just wear off the flat spots inside and that's all it takes. The last design of coupling is the best.

Well I guess you can call me a dummy. Went back and look closely at the coupling. Notice one hole on the rubber part was cracked and broken. Decided to invest a few coins to see if that fixed the problem. Of course it did. Had I looked more closely the first time I wouldn't have wasted your time. Thanks anyhow for the help.

when i turn it both ways it agitates both way. no spin

Does this happen? "If the coupling isn't damaged, by hand try turning the half attached to the gearcase. If you turn it one way it should spin and if you turn it the other way it should agitate." You should be able to make the washer spin or agitate by hand.

sorry just got your notice. the shaft turns both ways

Pull the motor off and check behind it. See if the end parts of the coupling still firmly attached to their shafts.
If the coupling isn't damaged, by hand try turning the half attached to the gearcase. If you turn it one way it should spin and if you turn it the other way it should agitate.
