There are a few more reasons that the clutch would fail so quickly.
1. something may be caught between the inner basket and outer tub
2. the neutral may have failed in the transmission causing the basket to spin while still full of water, putting extreme pressure on the clutch
3. the brake itself may not be fully releasing

Replaces entire assembly including brake caliper. Only part not used formt he KIT was the sopring for the 24 inch washers.

Did you replace the entire clutch or just the pads band with spring?
If you didn't replace the drum (the part the pads rub against, like drum brakes) that may be your issue. When the old clutch stopped working the drum probably became glazed and does not have the ability to hold even with new pads.

I have a Series 90 washer. Spinning had slowed to 0 rpm, so I replaced the clutch with a non-FSP version from a local parts supplier. Following the instructional video on APP I was able to swap the clutch in less than an hour. Tee washer then washed three loads of clothes without issues, then it started to smell during the spin cycles, but it would still spin faster than it has for years. After smelling for two loads we stopped. A few days later we tried again. First load no issues, 2nd load started smelling again. 2nd load was a medium size load of shirts (not towels and jeans). Why does the unit seem to smell like the clutch is burning up? Clutch kit came with two springs, one for the smaller series units and one for the larger; I made sure to use the spring labeled for the large washers.
