Sorry for not responding sooner but I have been at the lake for a few days.
I do not know.
As far as shutting the water supply off I always try to do that just in case somerthing goes south.

Hi Denman, Thanks a lot for your reply and the link to the repair manual, very helpful. The manual instructs to 'pull out the water valve and the EMI filter' to be able to remove the Inverter. Are we taking these items completely out or just loosening for access? Should the water supply be shut off or I can have the water valve secured hanging? As for the return policy, AAP ads say 365 days return policy, anyway have asked them to confirm before order. Thanks a lot.

Hi,
My GE Profile Refrigerator model PFCS1PJXB SS, is not cooling. Checked as below - 1. There is no cooling in the freezer or fridge section. 2. Pulled out the unit, opened back cover, found condenser with lots of dust but no ice. Cleaned the dust off. 3. Plugged power back in, lights come on, fans come on, condenser fan running. The compressor makes an effort to start for few seconds and then doesn't start. Tried a few times with gaps of few hours, same. 4. Opened motherboard cover, no burns or smoke marks. On plugging in the power, there is no clicking sound at all to indicate faulty relay. 5. I feel the 'inverter' for the compressor is the problem. I understand that it is easy to remove and test. However couldn't find step by step instructions to do so. I want to be sure its the 'inverter' before I order the part. Please help with the instructions to remove and test the inverter.
Thanks a lot. :)
