I would still check if there is 120 volts across it when it should be on.
Sometimes they will not run when cold but will when warm.

Do you have the wiring diagram for this unit?
It may be pasted on the back of the unit.

I cannot find a wiring diagram.

i took it out and ran 2 wires to it and plugged it in to 110 wall receptacle note i mistakenly refered to it as a defrost fan in my last post i meant evaporator fan

How did you test then fan?

Just measuring it's reistance with a meter does not tell you that it is good.

Are yiou getting 120 volts across it when it should be on?

Note I cannot find a wiring diagram for this unit so I am not sure how it is wired in.

amana side by side compressor running cond fan running defrost thermostat tests good defrost heater tests good defrost fan tests good defrost timer cycles but evap fan wont come on help:confused:
