After replacing the drum wheels and tension pulley on my Kenmore gas dryer I still had a whistle which I determined happened when the flame was on. Pulled the burner tube and cleaned real good, paper clipped the orifice hole and all is quiet now.

I pulled the cap on the front (with the allen wrench fitting) and blew it out with the air can. It was making a low hum at first then it blew through smmooth, no noise. Put the cap back on and no more high whistle. Try that simple way first before you pull the whole gas assembly out.

So I had the same high pitched noise. I grabbed a paper clip and pushed it into the gas orifice and the problem went away immediately.

I removed the orifice from the burner, cleaned it out with a toothpick, and removed all the other lint/dust from the burner unit. It seems to have done the trick, no more high-itch noise.

There is an intermittent high pitched noise from my stack-able Frigidaire LGQ332DS0 gas dryer when running. The sound occurs immediately following the end of the ignition flame (orange glow) sequence. It then continues for the majority of the cycle. The dryer works fine and all of the clothes dry as if it were normal operational conditions, but the noise is quite annoying. Any solutions?

I was thinking about changing the gas valves, but wanted to see if that was the right direction to go.
