I have a black wire set and a white wire set.
It does not matter which switch you connect to or which wire goes to which connector on the switch itself.

As long as both whites go to one switch and both blacks go to the other.

I bought part AP4481280 (W10275768) door latch for Maytag DW. The small connectors had come apart while trouble shooting the old one, so I am unsure how to make the electrical connections. Does it matter which plug goes to which side of the door latch? I have a black wire set and a white wire set. And is there any correct orientation of the each of those plugs? Thanks.
