Hello Denman, The drain hose was verified as clear. I ended up replacing the Check Valve Body, the Piston & Nut assembly, and the Drain Pump all at once. I added a gallon of water like you recommended.
And I'd like to report that it's draining now! Thank you very much for your help, and the service that you provide to all. It is very much appreciated, and you saved me a decent amount of money!
Also, I love the suggestion of the turkey baster. I had been using a siphon hose as far as I could, and then disconnected the hoses by the pump motor and the drain pump to get out what I could.

Here are your parts. Parts for GE GSD5320D02BB Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.comI would check that the drain hose is clear first. A common place for it to clog is where it attaches to the house plumbing. When you checked the piston and nut I am assuming that besides just checking the up/down action you also checked that the seal was good. can feel the Drain Pump spinning. Can it still need replacing? Yes The pictures of this part do not show it but some drain pumps have a flapper valve at either the input or output so I would check for this. OR is it the pump motor assembly? I would go with the above first. To keep water spillage to a minimum empty the sump before working on the unit. A turkey baster works well for this. Before restarting the unit be sure to add a gallon or so of water to it. These pumps will burn out the seals if run when dry.

Hello,
I've had this dishwasher repaired for failing to drain by GE several times in the past four years. They've replaced the front panel electrics (the board twice, door relays), the piston. It worked fine until recently. I've removed the piston and it moves freely up and down. I don't recall the check valve assembly ever being replaced.
Now, it will fill with water and wash as normal; but it won't drain during drain cycles. I hear the motors running, and I've pulled it out and can feel the Drain Pump spinning. Can it still need replacing? OR is it the pump motor assembly?
Model GSD5320D02BB
Thanks.
