Hello,

I have this DU920PFGB3 Whirlpool dishwasher and having a leak when the unit is filling up. The leak is not coming from the inlet valve, but rather from a plastic housing past the valve right before the water goes into tub.

The "housing" that the black inlet hose (past the actual inlet valve) is connected to has two openings exposed to the air (front/back) for which I don't understand their purpose. I suspect mineral build up is causing the water to drip towards the front opening and spilling on the floor.

Could someone please explain what these openings are for?

I have plugged the tub hole with tape and squirted vinegar into housing, hopefully that will fix the problem.

Has anyone else seen this problem and or have a different fix?
