Carl, Most likely the problem is a frozen and/or clogged drain. If you do not like to take it apart then you can just unplug the refrigerator for a day or more to completely defrost it. You also may want to remove the drain tube and the drain funnel (#313 & #312 on the diagram) and make sure they are clean. Gene.

Hi! I have an older GE top freezer model. Occasionally there is water in the refrigerator which seems to be dripping from the freezer. Could this be a clogged drain tube? If so, would something as simple as unplugging the unit and let it defrost solve the problem? Thanks in advance: Carl
