A model number may help others help you.

Extra long cycle times are often caused by a heater problem.
The unit is waiting for the water to hit a set point temperature. It never does so it eventually times out and continues the cycle.

Usual causes are a blown heater, an open hi-limit thermostat or a bad control board.

On some units one of the door switches is just for the heater so that may also be the cause.

i have a frigdaire 18" dishwasher that takes over 3 HRS. to complete a 90 min. cycle it seems to do everything its suppose to do it just takes a long time to do it. any suggestions to repair would be helpful.
