The range gas top works great but the electical control panel dims to black whenever the bake or broil button is pushed...hit cancel and the clock comes back and works fine. Replaced the clock/control unit twice by two repair techs...to no avail. Every circuit tests OK according to the techs but all three control units do the same thing. After $800, I would have already taken the range out and used it for a boat anchor but the builder screwed the range to the floor and built the kitchen island around it. To replace the oven the island has to come out. I think it would be much more desirable and quick if we could just fix the elec. oven in the range. Did I say that my wife has been without an oven for five months...happy girl she is. It is so frustrating for everyone says it is just some circuit, switch, thermostat or relay that is misbehaving. Please help.
Thanks so much,
