If the evaporator motor circuit is truly blown in the board, but it still defrosts, you can try shorting the two pins together, might be worth a try as the fan motor is a 115 volt motor.

Thanks. Now I hope I can find the part at a local repair shop. I can't wait for shipping. At least its not as costly as it could be.

That is correct.

Ahhh... That sounds like it has definitely got to be it then. So the compressor doesn't have to be running for the condensor fan to run!!!

You can check it's output per the schematic. The compressor and evaporator fan outputs are separate pins on the board.

Think so? Is that an expensive part? I would want it to be a "for sure" buy. Can I check it to make sure? I don't want to buy another part, just to lose $$$$

Most probably a bad adaptive defrost pc board,5303918476 behind the control panel.

Just checked the voltage from the relay. There is nothing there. No voltage to the relay either.

A few days ago I came home to a thawed fridge and freezer. The fan on the freezer side continued to run. Is that the defrost fan?
The fan on the compressor is not running. When I turn the thermostat to "0' the timer cycles. When i move the thermostat to cool, the timer cycles again.
I have already replaced the starter relay. It didn't help. I checked the compressor for a short. It wasn't shorted.
There was a brief time that it did start up. It ran for a while, but then stopped when it needed to start up again
Any ideas? Right now the only thing I have happening is the timer, when I move the thermostat, and the fan on the freezer side.

I really hope its not the compressor.
