When we run a solid pack cycle in our Kitchen Aid Trash Compactor (about 5 - 7 years old) it doesn't lock at the end of the cycle. It almost sounds like it is cycling twice and never completing a solid pack, as you are able to open the unit right after the Solid Pack cycle.

Any idea what the problem could be? Have turned everything off/on/off again. Thanks!
