I guess I have to do without the microwave light and cheaper to install under cabinet lights on either side of the cookktop.
everything else works on the microwave oven and fan

There are no parts available for the microcomputer board. It must be replaced as an assembly. I have seen a few web sites that rebuild boards but I don't know how successful it is.

:) What would the cost be for replacing the chip?

Turn the power off and remove the control panel. Look for any burned marks on the microcomputer. You may need to replace it.

one light burnt out and created a burnt wire smell for a while. Then the other light wouldn't go out. the switch would not work. then the light went out. the smell disappeared, the rest of the oven works fine. i replaced the bulb but still wont work.
