Thanks for the response. I have fixed a lot of these washers and find it's best to tip the washer back for service, but never lay it down all the way as the skate plate may go out of position once uprighted.

Thank you for your prompt and accurate diagnosis of my KitchenAid Washer. Once the skate plate was properly positioned it functions smoothly.:)

The skate plate under the tub might be out of place, just look at both sides to see if they are not symetric. Also, lift the skate plate and check for missing half round, brown, plastic slides.

Washer spins violently like it is out of balance. I have replaced the drive block, clutch, suspension springs, agitator repair kit and transmission. Symptoms still the same. Any ideas?
