After watching the video, I'm questioning if I got the right part. this part looks it is inside the fridge side not the freezer where the ice augar is located. am i misunderstanding something here? Nothing about this sounds right and now I've ordered and had delivered a part for defrosting...seriously confused.

Hi.

You are correct - bad relay in the ADC. Replace it

Maytag side by side refrigerator, model MSD2456DEQ, rev 14, serial number
14130280YW. It has begun making a buzzing noise when the compressor turns
off. The noise is coming from the upper right corner of the refrigerator
compartment, perhaps near the Adaptive Defrost control. This does not happen
every time the compressor turns off, but perhaps once a day. After a few
minutes, it will stop. Removing the power briefly will also stop the buzzing.
Could this be a chattering relay on the Adaptive Defrost Control? I have
replaced that part in this refrigerator once before. I would like to take a shot
at fixing this rather than buy a new refrigerator. thanks!
