It wasn't likely for any parts house to stock this part when it was available. Now, it's pretty much impossible. I'm including a list of GE fridge models that this part fits. Your best bet is to try craigslist or something like that and see if someone who is giving away one of these models might want to sell/give away just this part.

Models that wr17x6456 fits:
General Electric BISB42EKB Refrigerator
General Electric BISB42EKC Refrigerator
General Electric BISB42ELB Refrigerator
General Electric BISB42ELC Refrigerator
General Electric BISB42ELD Refrigerator
General Electric BISB42ELE Refrigerator
General Electric BISW42EKB Refrigerator
General Electric BISW42EKC Refrigerator
General Electric BISW42ELB Refrigerator
General Electric BISW42ELC Refrigerator
General Electric BISW42ELD Refrigerator
General Electric BISW42ELE Refrigerator
General Electric ZISB42EMB Refrigerator
General Electric ZISB42EMC Refrigerator
General Electric ZISW42EMB Refrigerator
General Electric ZISW42EMC Refrigerator

It's called a "cover and insert" for the GE icemaker.
