Just checking back to see if anybody has a fix for the door switches. For what it's worth, just pushing the door up has kept the thing running. And I have also learned that in Sears world, a 721 prefix means that the machine is a LG.

Problem: Microhood would not "start". Electricity was on. Keypad would work, interior light would come on, work light would work, and I could hear a "click" when I pressed start. Then the countdown timer would begin. But the turntable would not rotate and no heating action was taking place.

Solution: After reading a bunch of posts, it seemed to me that the easiest first thing to do was to check the door switches. BINGO! There is still something wrong because I have to push up on the door to make the operation start. I don't know whether the door has sagged over time or if there is some other problem. It does work but this could be a short term solution. So if anybody has had the same experience and knows what to do I would appreciate a reply. :)
