Thanks that # worked. The Control should be fairly simple, just turn off power/unplug unit, pull unit out, use an old rug or some thick cardboard under it if you have wood/vinyl floors and don't want to scratch it, or most hardware stores carry plastic sliders for appliances. once you get behind unit it should just be a matter of removing the top back panel, just remove the screws holding it on. Then disconnect wiring to board (remember where harnesses all go) remove the screws holding the board in place, put in the new board, rewire and reassemble back panel, restore power and test.

hope this helps.

Double check your model number. Doesn't seem to come up.

Can someone answer a few questions about repairing my Whirlpool control panel. I ordered a new one and an ready to tackle the project.

Here's some history: We noticed the oven will not work when we turn it on. The range top still works and the clock still works too. We called the repairman from whirlpool and he said the error code suggested we need to replace the control panel. i want to save a few bucks and do it myself. How hard is it to do this project? Any special tools required? Where can I find an online repair manual?

Thanks in advance for any help, this is my first try at oven repair.

ps- this is my first post, glad I found this forum!
