A few months ago, two lights on the top panel were flashing and my dishwasher would not work. I turned the breaker off for a few hours (hoping that it would reset it) and it worked. The lights went off and I was able to use it just fine. About a month ago, I noticed that it was getting harder and harder for the "Start" button to work. I had to press harder and harder for it to register and finally it just quit working.

The only thing that works on the panel is the "Cancel" button. When I press that , the cancel cycle starts just fine. After looking online, but never really finding a definitive answer, it appears that it could be (1) the panel or (2) the assembly? Does this sound familiar? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. All of the repair quotes range between $400-600. Thank you!
