Is your start device a small, black thing with a copper coil? If so, these are very reliable.
If the lights dim when the compressor trys to start, you have a shorted/ burned out compressor.

Where do I get a start relay fast? Every place I contact in town they need to order part. Do I have to rely on bags of ice for superbowl sunday? What's a girl to do? :(

I have Whirlpool Gold freestanding ice machine. The compressor keeps clicking on and off. Water gets pumped into reserve tank. Pump working. Mother board replaced a month ago. Was working fine, but stopped making ice, so then I noticed compressor shutting on and off. No freon leak. Could it be start relay or overload switch? Or something else. I need it to work for Superbowl Sunday:)
