So I ran down and picked up the part for $81.62. After a very simple swap out with my fingers crossed I'm glad to report the washer is back on line and doing well. He explaind to me that this was a common problem in front loaders and he stays well stocked with this part. Does it drain the water out?

will not spin. During drain/spin cycle, makes draining noises, supposed to spin, tumbles. Meanwhile, the timer counts down when it gets to 7 it stops. Any help would be much appreciated !
