I assume you are talking about the top of your agitator assembly.
You probably need to replace the dogs. You can inspect them first before buying the parts.
Here is link to help you with it. Note, you do not have to remove the bottom of the agitator, just take off the part with the dogs.

My agitator operates properly, but clothes mover does not operate.
