Note unforetunately it does not show the timer so I am assuming it is the mechanical type

Looks like it is actually a GE.
Remove the door's inner cover and take a look, could be just a wire has come loose.
I assume the unit fills and starts washing.
If the dial does not advance at all perhaps the wire to the timer motor is loose or off.
Can you get it to drain etc. by manually moving the dial?
If it will drain does it then advance and complete the cycle?

The door to our dishwasher was slammed very hard. Since then, it just keeps running and running on the wash cycle. Any suggestions as to what parts we may need? Thanks!
