The next time it happens just move the thermostat back and forth if it fires up I would replace the thermostat (Item 9 in Section 12).
Sounds like it is sticking open.
Or since you can loose a lot more in food than the cost of the part you may want to gamble a bit and just replace it.

My frig will run cool and freeze than at times it won't come on. I restart it by turning it to the off position than back on it will run quite a long time.
I replaced the relay in it.
Can you help
