Most likely it is jammed. You can use a special disposer wrench to unjam it.

Disposal has worked fine in the past. this has happened once before but i cannot remember how i fixed it. it is making a humming sound but the blades will not turn.. not sure if it is jammed and how i can fix it. i looked at the bottom but there is not a place where i can place an allen wrench to turn.. please help i need this fixed asap..
