The Finish Guard is not a cycle. It is an option.
If your dryer does not have such option or you did not use it, then I have no idea what could have the dryer to restart by itself.

Thank you for reply but when my dryer is on it is not on the finish guard cycle. It is on the regular cycle when it turns on and off. So what else could it be?

Your dryer probably has a Finish Guard future (page 13 in the "Use and care" manual).

My dryer will start and work for a while. Then it will shut off for again. After that it will start up again by itself and then shut off again. I took the back panel of and checked the heating element and it heats up. I also check the blower and it started up but after a couple of minutes the dryer turned off again. I need to know what else to check for and what part I need to buy.

Thanks
