The first thing I would do is open the blower housing, clean it inside and check the blower wheel.

Drum turns and clothes feel warm, but on close examination the heating element lights up but goes out after a short period. I've cleaned out the lint filters and duct work. Not sure if its the heating element or the thermostat or maybe both. I've had this unit over twelve years and so far No problems however its probably time for things to go haywire.
Any help would be greatly appreciated .
I am 65 have some mechanical abilities
Just trying to save myself a few bucks
