Remove power from the unit and one wire at the heater element (Item 43 in Section 3). Check it with a meter it should be around 20 ohms.

Remove one wire from the thermostat (item 44 in Section 5) It should be 0 ohms.

If both are OK then it could be a push button switch or the timer.
I could not find a wiring diagram to confirm this.

My beloved old Whirlpool dishwasher DU5004xm0 has no hot water or heat for drying dishes. Help? :confused:
