Make sure the ice maker is cycling. if not then you might need to be changing the module on the ice maker.

My ice maker just stopped making ice. I am looking at a water inlet valve Part Number 4389177 (AP3160649)for a kenmore ice maker. And one of your forums says to check the power to the connectors of that part. how many volts should it read? I am getting 1.5 volts to 1 side and .6 to the other. The forum also shows a way to check the digital unit for the ice maker but my refrigerator is a 2001 and I don't think it has one. is there another way to figure out why my ice maker won't make ice. it distributes water to the water dispenser but the maker is dry and won't cycle. Any suggetions?
