To get an access to the gas valve coils on your dryer is not very simple. The top panel, the front panel and the drum have to be removed. I really recommend you to call a professional to do it for you. Believe me it's worth it.

Our Kenmore dryer has a heating problem - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. We had someone diagnose it for us and they said we need to replace the gas valve coils. We have the parts and are ready to replace them, but getting to where they're located is proving difficult.
How do we remove the front panel on the dryer to get to the gas valve area?

Thank you.
Debbie
