I got it at this website. It's very easy to replace. It's the part that connects to the speed control at the top with the wide grey wire.

Which mixer do you have? I have the 6 quart KP26M1XMR.
Model KP26M1XMR4

I replaced the sensor, and now my mixer works!!!

I have the same exact problem and have had my mixer for 3 years also. I read on the kitchenaid forums that it could be either the speed control (control board) or the hall effect sensor. Good luck!

we only had the kitchenaid mixer for 3 years but now the speed control is not working. There are only 2 speeds: off and very fast. I dont know whats wrong, i bought a new switch board and replaced it but it still isnt fixed can someone help?
