Thanks. That was easy. Just had to wait until it dries and reinstall to see if it works. Thanks again.

You have to push these tabs simultaneously.

Gene. I am having a tough time pulling it out. Is there a way to remove the locking tabs? I tried prying with a screwdriver but no joy. Pulling it is not working either. Any suggestions?

If you are talking about the ice maker wire harness plug then it has two locking tabs on both sides.

Gene. Gene, I have a similar problem with the ice maker. When remove the ice maker do I unplug the wire harness coming from the refridgerator or remove each wire to the ice motor? If removing wire harness from the refridgerator what is the trick? I pull it but it doesn't want to budge.

Gene, you're not going to believe it, but I ordered the part -- then plugged the refrigerator back in (because I had the idea that maybe the line to the icemaker was frozen, so I'd been letting it thaw for several hours). A half hour later, I hear ice dropping into the tray. Murphy's Law.
I'm not sure if thawing solved it, but the light is no longer blinking and I've got ice. I put the ordered part on "hold" and I'll see if the icemaker continues without issue.
Thought you might like to know about it. Blinking green light isn't necessarily fatal (knocks on wooden desk). I'll be sure to let you know if this changes.
Thanks again for the help.

Thanks Gene.
Is this part fairly easy to install? Or would I be best served to call a GE service tech?
