use a piece of wire (coat hanger) put a hook on the end to pull the wire/spring back in place. Thats after you've determined all thats wrong is the retainer wire/spring simply popped out of place.

Use this service manual as a guide to put the spring back on. You may need a new one though.

Can say about the tub without being there. Take off the back and check out the support shocks and springs.

Opened door after washing and tub seal twisted spring came out and long wire is there something more wrong than the front tub seal or is it the bearing? How much movement should the tub have exactly how do you really know if the bearing is bad?
