Thanks richappy! could i check the amps with a volt meter? and if so, could you tell me the amp range and points to hook up the volt meter to check?!

Hi guys, i just replaced the whole start device box due to contamination of a previous flood. before i replaced it, the compressor would click on and off immediately. Now, when the compressor cycles on, it stays on for about 3to 4 seconds, but then, still goes off. could it be because the fan is not working,or would the compressor have to run for a while for the fan to go on, or does the compressor have a saftey feature where-as if it does not recieve a fan signal it will not go on? not sure what to replace next. could any body help?! Thanks! Nick Citarella
