Thank You So Much For The Feed Back And Quick Response. Also For The Link To Taking The Washer Apart. I Haven't Checked The Part Yet, But Am On My Way. Again, Thanks Very, Very Much!

Dear CAN I DO IT, It sounds like a bad lid switch. You might also check the strike on the lid. It could be missing or cracked . Check the lid switch for continuity with your meter. It should alternate between having and not having continuity when you depress the lever, also check the switch for damage some newer styles have a history of cracking in half. The lid switch is not too difficult to change. The best and easiest way to change it is to remove the cabinet. Click here to go to RepairAve.com to see how to remove the cabinet

3-4 Times For The Past Week My Washer Has Stopped At The Spin/drain Cycle And Now Has Completely Stopped At This Cycle. The Knob Advances To The Spin Mark But Doesn't Do Anything Else(Doesn't Spin/Doesn't Drain), And It Sounds Dead, No Sound At All. Can This Be The Lid Switch? My Grandson Has Slammed Down The Lid Several Times In The Past 2 Weeks! Or Am I Most Likely Looking At A Problem With The Timer? Also, Can This Be A "Do It Yourself" Job? (FR: dhvillasana2u@aol.com)
