Unplug the range or turn off the circuit breaker. In order to access the igniter you have to remove the oven floor and the flame spreader.

I have a GE XL44 JGBS20 range, serial number GV127193P, in which the oven suddenly failed to light.. Apparently the oven igniter (part number AP2020569) has failed and needs to be replaced. Are there any detailed instructions available to show me how to remove and replace this part?
