First thing to check would be the thermal release the clips on front of top with a putty knife and lift up the lid unplug it in the back where the element is just down the side on right about 4inches down is a very small black thermastat try and remove it. Take the wires that are hooked on it and black tape them together see if it will start after you plug it back in if it does replace that thermal and check your vent for proper air flow

The dryer will do nothing. When I turn the timer to the left which contains a numeric limit. Ex. 30 Mins. I can hear the timer click and it will advance. If I select a More dry setting or les dry setting the timer makes no noise, nor does it advance and the dryer still does nothing. I am not sure where to go from here.
