Ok, Randy suggest to check inside the pump itself the hose going out looking for any obstructions (he said baby socks are notorious for an obstruction ad of course girls thong undies) lol.
With the water still in the tub it almost has to be associated with the pump.

I do remember when we went to aWhirlpool training session a while back they were talking about checking the CCU and using an pencil eraser to make sure the contacts where cleaned. They had a problem with too many techs just changing the CCU when it was a corrosion issue.
I'll have to pick Randy's brain when he gets back from a service call. I admit I'm at a loss at the moment, as to why it's not going into diagnostics like it should.

I did unscrew the large item filter and removed a nail. I didn't go any furture. I'll go ahead and check for other obstructions.
Regarding the diagnostic test, I just can get it to start he test. After I go through the steps it tells me to do, I can only get the displacy to read 0:00 in lieu of C:00 as the manual says it should.
BTW - I forgot to answer your previous question. We are on City water.

Did you check the drain pump for any obstructions? The C:00 is for the door lock.

Wash in all water temperatures. Seems to do the same thing. I've gone through the check above and still no luck. Also, tried to do the diagnostic test again and can't get to the C:00 display.

This may seem like a silly question. But what water temp do you wash in? do you well water that's unfiltered? Here is a list to check from our manual. If there is no water in the unit:
• Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
• Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
• Verify inlet valve operation
• If there is water in the unit:
• Verify Drain pump operation
• Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and
Pressure switch
• Verify there is not a siphon problem
• Verify wire harness connections to; Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump,
Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check all hoses for possible leaks
• Verify pressure switch operation
• Verify flow meter operation
• Verify CCU operation
Hope this helps some, hold on to you "old" parts for a while, they may not be bad. Nat

My whirlpool duet started flashing the FH error code. It does this:
1) Fills with water.
2) Seems to wash fine.
3) Pumps soapy water out.
4) Rinses.
5) In the rinse/spin cyle, it stops and flashes the FH error (at about 12 minutes when on delicates).
When it stops, it has some water still in the drum.
I've gone through the procedure guide in the manual for the FH error. I've replaced the pressure switch, flow meter, and CCU. Also checked the black hose to the CCU and it appears fine. Nothing has worked yet.
ALSO, tried to run the diagnostic test to check the control action but I can't get it to run. I go through the process, but display reads 0:02 instead of C:00.
Any suggestions on what to do next?
